In the past few years we have seen major changes taking place in the way we create, manufacture and consume. This has positively affected the way we think and relate to each other. Design, as a changing agent, is to be shaped as an open model to embrace these upcoming values of our society in the 21st century.

The Sustainist Design Toolkit is a hands-on tool aiming to help designers and non-designers of all backgrounds to develop and implement meaningful projects aligned with current socio-cultural contexts. Based on the Sustainist Design values, which are: Sharing, Proportionality, Localism and Connectedness.

With the goal of strengthening the link between design and social innovation, the toolkit helps to define the Sustainist co-creative design process and creates an open tool to bring together interested parties allowing this conscious design process to be amplified. The Sustainist Design Toolkit is a method that will lead us to reconsider the status of the designer, defending its co-responsibility for social issues and the central role he occupies in this newly organized society.
